Our Mission in Lusaka
Formed in 2017, GOPY is a youth-led organization dedicated to impacting not just families, but the community as a whole by feeding the mind with positivity. We believe society exists as a mental concept—whatever the mind is fed eventually reproduces the fruit we see.
Awareness
Conducting outreach in high schools, universities, and orphanages to spread mental health knowledge and break the stigma.
Recovery
Utilizing lived experiences to coach peers through substance abuse recovery and addiction withdrawal with empathy and care.
Creativity
Engaging youth through literature, dance, and music to express their stories and build resilient, positive mindsets.
GOPY

"Whatever the mind is fed eventually reproduces the fruit we see."
Our Journey
Impact not just a family, but a community.
The Generation of Progressive Youth (GOPY) was formed in 2017 when our founders sat to interview each other on issues affecting their mental well-being.
What started as a conversation became a reality through community surveys. We discovered a cycle where minds fed with torture or abuse reproduced anger and depression.
Our mission became clear: Feed a mind positivity, and that mind will yield production. That is what we aim for.
